Storage Bins and Toy Boxes

This is a rolling storage bin that a customer asked me to make.
It is 32″ wide x 14″ tall x 14″ deep and has a slow-close lid. She wanted to be able to move it around on her porch and asked for wheels so I put casters on all 4 corners and a handle on the front to help with moving it around.

Built with Cedar and coated with Spar urethane for years of enjoyment.
The video shows the slow-close hinges in action.

This is a toy box I made for Mason.
4′ wide x 20″ deep and 2′ tall. Since this is going to be stored indoors I used glued up Pine panels and a water-based poly finish.
I cut hand holes in each end for easy transport and cut down the front opening so little fingers could open it easily.
It also has a whiteboard on top so he can use erasable markers to write and draw with.
Slow-close hinges make sure those little fingers don’t get damaged when the lid closes.
