Clocks

I enjoy making clocks.  They are fun and can be quite serious or whimsical.

Walnut Business Card Desk Clock

Oak Business Card Desk Clock

Timing Chain Clock

Pool Ball Clock

Chicago Blackhawks Clock

Oak Mantel Clock

I added some Walnut splines to the joints to make them a little stronger and dress it up a little.

A Chicago White Sox clock.  It is 8 x 8 and 1 3/4 deep so the clock movement is tucked inside the clock and it will hang flush on the wall.

This is a basketball themed clock I am working on. 12 inch diameter and 7/8 inches thick.  It uses the clock movement as a hanger but you could run a wire style hanger too.

These are a couple of baseball themed clocks I have recently made.  One for the Cubs and one for the Sox.  I have a few more clocks in the works so stay tuned.

12" x 12"
(This one is 1 inch deep and uses a bracket on the clock for hanging.)

An 8" x 10" White Sox clock. Just a little different that the one above.
(1 3/4 inches deep.  Will hang flat on the wall.)

These are some "Shaker" style clocks I have made.
The "Eagle" clock was made for my dad back in 1990.
The "Shaker House" clock was made for my wife back in 1990 as well.

These clocks are made of pine with cherry faces.  They have held up well over the past quarter century. They have drawers at the bottom so you can store small items and you can use the top of the drawer as a display shelf, as my wife does.  You could also use the top of the clock to as a display shelf.

This is a new clock I am working on.  Same style as the others but I do not know what face design I am going to use yet.  The drawer is a little taller on this one and I used cedar to build the inside of the drawer so maybe it will give off a nice cedar smell.
I might try a lighter colored stain as well.

This clock uses 12 Ga shot gun shells for the hours.
